Dr. Daniel Decanatti (aka Dr. Deca) is the world’s leading authority on anabolics and their uses, both in the medical field and, more controversially, for sports/physical enhancement. We here at The Anabolic Alamanac were fortunate enough to track him down and get him to answer some questions that had been sent in by readers…
Q:I’ve been reading more and more about Androgen Releasing Factors as a new way of causing testosterone release. What exactly is an androgen releasing factor and how do they work?
A:Androgen releasing factors (ARF’s) are compounds that cause the release of androgens from the brain.
As you may know, the hypothalamus is the part of the brain that causes testosterone release. But, what you may not know is this... how much natural testosterone is actively available to you. In other words, scientists are just beginning to realize that the best way to increase testosterone is to turn-up the internal production of it and because this “field” of research is so new, there’s no telling to what extent this may occur.
Obviously, this is a much better approach to synthetic test because almost everyone takes way too much, which then leads to the impairment of the most vital organ you have in your body, the hypothalamus, the “hormone producer”! And, since the word hormone in Greek means aroused, the implication of shutting down this “testosterone arouser” producing portion of our brain is so enormous that it could fill a 475 page medical text book!
Testicular atrophy, cancer, Oligospermic infertility (reduced sperm count), heart disease, osteoporosis, just to mention a few.
So “yes”, we want more “test” but the best way to get it is to activate your hypothalamus so it can release higher levels of what are called “Androgen Releasing Factors” which then signal the pituitary gland to actually release the testosterone into your bloodstream for supra-physiological amounts.
(For more info on how to use Androgen Releasing Factors for explosive natural testosterone levels go to page 5)
Q:Someone I know mentioned that they got their UG gear tested and I wanted to do the same. Can you tell me where I can get UG gear tested to determine how close it may be to the actual mg doses stated?
A:There is such a place. You’ll want to remain anonymous, of course, and the way that you do that is by way of a money order and creating a free email address with none of your information accurately portrayed in the information you must list in order to get it. The website you should go to is: www.srcslab.com. This lab is equipped to do just such testing - though we’re sure there are others - and can help you out if you are wondering about potency stated. Another good way, and we’re not being sarcastic, since you already purchased it, is to just use it and see if it works. I know it sounds archaic, but that’s the truth - if it works what does it matter? So unless you have some suspicion or reason to believe that it will not match, then why spend the money and take the risk? Anyhow, if you do decide to send some off, they will need at least 1g of material. We suggest sending some pre-made gear rather than the pure hormone. They test everything but IGF1 and rHGH - powders, pills, esters, and mixed blends. The cost: $110 to $250.
Q:I can’t find any ephedrine in my area to complete the Ephedrine, Caffeine, Aspirin and TridenosenH™ stack you outlined in last month’s edition. Can you recommend a good substitute?
A:No, I can’t recommend a good substitute! However, I can recommend a great one... because you are about the 100th person who’s contacted me and said they’re having problems finding ephedrine so I’ve been well prepared for your question.
The absolute best substitute for the entire E/C/A/T stack is called LeanTabs™ from Fizogen. LeanTabs™ contains Dexafenadrine, a hybrid thermogenic fusion compound that contains 6 compounds that induce thermogenisis including 5 methyl-xanthine, epigallocaterchin gallate, theobromine, polypheols phenylethyamine and methxanthines.
Additionally LeanTabs™ also contains citrus noringin and L-taurine for an increased augmentation or “synergistic action” of all the compounds in this stack!
Of course, just on their own, LeanTabs™ really rip you up. But, by stacking it with TridenosenH™ you will far exceed the benefits of stacking TridenosenH™ with ephedrine, caffeine and aspirin. And most importantly, LeanTabs™ are a lot easier to get than ephedrine!
Sometimes GetAnabolics.com runs specials on LeanTabs™, so give them a call (1-800-535-9858) and see if you can score any sweet deals. Good luck with this stack and let me know how shredded it gets you!
Q:I don’t know what’s going on, but my hands are falling asleep, both in bed and also in the gym, of all things. It’s been really happening for the past 2-3 weeks only, but it’s worrying me. I am on a big cycle right now, and I’m wondering if I am going into stroke mode?
A:Well, being on a big cycle could be a cause. After all, total body edema is not uncommon on what you describe as a big cycle. And if you are not eating ideally while using drugs like D-bol, Test, and Sustanon, or any big combo such as this, you run the risk of extremity swelling. Excess water can press on capillaries and veins that lead into the hand through the wrist, and constrict the blood’s ability to flow and feed those areas. Typically, when something falls asleep, it’s because something is pressing on its blood flow and restricting it. Tight areas can also be caused by the beginning of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) - particularly in the wrists and hands. Compressed neuropathy at the volar (under part) of the wrist joint affects the median nerve and causes the thumb, index finger and middle fingers, as well as the palm of the hand, to fall asleep. So if your problem is carpal tunnel, or you suspect that you have some repetitive injury issues (the causes of carpal tunnel) if, for instance, you work on computers or rest your wrists on a desk all day long, then you should go get them diagnosed properly and go through the necessary surgery. If it’s just generalized edema and it affects the smaller joints of the body, causing tingling and a lack of circulation, then try some estrogen blockers, diuretics or aromatase inhibitors like Formadrol® (see page 5).
Q:I’ve been reading a lot about ATP supplementation in your columns, and you seem to know a great deal about it. However, my chemistry professor said another way to increase ATP in the body is through increased glycogen storage. Can you explain this to me. Or should I say, is there any supplement that was designed to increase glycogen storage, and thus internal ATP re-synthesis?
A:Your chemistry professor is one smart guy, because yes, by increasing glycogen stores in the body, you can, and will increase your ability to synthesize more internal ATP. One supplement in particular that dramatically increases glycogen storage in muscle tissue, and thus ATP is Body Octane™ by MAN Sports. This amazing compound contains citrulline malate which is a combination of citrulline and the organic salt malate. This unique combination causes the removal of lactic acid and other metabolic wastes from training free up the body’s energy reserves for more glycogen storage!
Additionally, Body Octane™ contains L-Carnitine L-Tartrate which transports long chain fatty acids to fuel the cell’s power source, the mitochondria. However, 5-ATP (TridenosenH™ or Enerselen) will dramatically increase the effectiveness of this natural ATP increasing compound.
So by all means, follow your chemistry professor’s advice and mine!
