Great Heavyweight - Phil Hill

Phil enjoyed a brief but successful bodybuilding career. Despite his awesome mass he was capable of performing splits, which he incorporated into his posing routine.

Contests include the 1986 - AAU Mr. America, 1987 - NPC Nationals, 1988 - IFBB Night of Champions and the 1988 Mr. Olympia

  • Today, when we see guys in state contests over 220 in contest shape at 5-7, it's hard to imagine how freaky Phil Hill seemed. This is from the 1987 Nationals where he just overpowered a pretty good heavyweight class.

  • Good mass, but he had a big gut and he didn't control it well enough during his posing routine. :(

They mention him being able to do the splits but that's not shown in this routine. Bah!
